Travel Information
Monterrey has one International Airport (MTY). There are direct flights daily from several major cities in the United States. The airport is located 45 minutes away from the wedding venue and hotel.
To enter México as an American or Israeli citizen you need a valid passport. No visa is required. You will obtain a visitor form upon entering the country that you need to keep until you exit the country.
The exchange rate for US Dollars to Mexican Pesos can be found online.
Most businesses in Monterrey accept major international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). It is recommended, however, that you carry cash with you for taxis and other minor transactions. ATMs are easily found throughout the city which will charge a small currency conversion fee on international debit cards.
We recommend you notify your bank that you will be in Mexico prior to arriving, otherwise fraud protection is likely to disable your debit and credit cards and they will be declined.
